The pace of change is only speeding up, and the complexity faced by senior managers only increasing. The departure of an Executive, Director, Head of Unit or Project Manager can create a gap in the business with negative impact rippling out throughout the organisation. A good interim manager can step in within days and stabilise the team, seize on the opportunity to make necessary changes, and assist in the selection of a permanent replacement.
